Injury On Duty Pensioners Association. Registered Charity Number 1174473 CIO. "Supporting the rights of injured officers"
After 2.5 years on the sick, x2 expert reports and an SMP that refuses to accept either MENTAL health or the expert reports, my PMAB was successful.
I cannot thank @HavenSolicitors, especially Mark Botham and my local FedRep @PFEW_HQ for their expert counsel & support.. 1/2
33yrs ago on this date, I walked into the RUC training centre along with 30+ other folk who would become my squad mates. We spent hours signing documents, authorising deductions from our pay for everything from benefits in the case of injury to 50p for the police band.
It appears that Essex Police intend to recommence injury pension reviews from April of this year. The official decision can be found here –

Why don't you consider giving to a UK charity instead?
Every penny that you donate goes towards supporting police officers that have been injured on duty doing their job.
We'd heard Chief Constable Gareth Morgan is retiring from Staffs Police but cannot confirm this as we're still blocked.
We wish him every happiness in his retirement, safe in the knowledge that he won't be living in constant fear that his pension may be taken from him.
